"However, if you are getting a cracked version of a game so that you legally and legitimately own (like if you don't want to deal with the shitty DRM that comes along with it), then it is not piracy."when you are buying a game, you are not buying the game: you are buying the license to it and the copy to play it with. with this, there are rules on what you can't do as it is a license: some games, as i said, do not allow you to do this as it is up to them with what you do. it is also up to the laws of the country, and so usually it's up to the morality of the person. tl;dr: you do not own the game, usually game EULAs detail how it's a license and so you may have only bought that copy on that cd: you pay for one copy. You are correct, but we don't need to worry about how it works for some games, only how it works for Minecraft: Java Edition. If you've ever used a modpack launcher, you may have noticed that you can have multiple installations of the game with just one premium account, so there is no limitation like that. i don't understand why it's a bad thing to have online mode on in the first place: seth said he could easily fix the problems with the plugins and with bypassers we have commands and admins for that? the smp could moved over as well so this is just breaking one of the appealing features we previously had? dunno if i voted but vouch

I can force plotsquared to use offline uuids as it's a setting, but it's based off usernames so when a player changes their name an admin will have to use /plot setowner to give it back. I'm not about to make that kind of a massive change to a plugin everytime it needs to be updated, I'm trying to move away from modified plugins. And if they are modified I want it to be as minimal as possible.

I want to revoke this suggestion for the time being. There are issues regarding security and plots that can be solved but will take time to do, therefore I revoke until these are solved.

Certain security matters are currently happening so the server will remain in onlinemode until the matters are resolved.
