Apparently Fionn is now a forum mod. However, the policy states
I've been told he needs this rank to perform his duties but it's not been made clear why its been given without a vote. I was under the impression the AEAO rank that he had already gave him permission to move threads and such.
The policy also says

This was the exact reason I wanted the suggestion on my thread implemented ( totalfreedom.boards.net/thread/66829/publish-maintain-users-forum-access?page=2 ) which has been approved. We should know at all times who has elevated forum access. This is a clear violation of the policy, and I'd really like to know why this access has been given in secret and without making it public to the community... Feels pretty unacceptable to me anyway.

I was added to Forums Moderator with the permission of Seth and Kae to further fulfill my AEAO tasks. We've updated the Executive Policy to clarify this further.

What's even stranger is that I believe Fionn helped write that policy.

We've updated the Executive Policy to clarify this further Does not explain why you have the assistant role as well... Still is in breach of the policy as it currently stands (Well unless you or someone else has just changed it to cover this specific scenario)...

I was added to Forums Moderator with the permission of Seth and Kae to further fulfill my AEAO tasks. We've updated the Executive Policy to clarify this further. "In the event of needing a new Forum moderator(s), the voting process will be similar to the Executive voting process with the exception of moderators added to fulfill executive activities." "Assistants are reserved for administrative positions and don’t grant you any permissions beyond your actual rank." You're already in the Assistant Executive Admin Officer group (along with Zevante because of Internal Affairs), why should you as an assistant be granted more power that you don't need? This policy now contradicts itself...

why should you as an assistant be granted more power that you don't need? I was granted this role as per the guidance of Seth and Kae in order for more accessibility to editing and updating policies

Wasn't Internal Affairs supposed to be separate from the executive system, especially since Zeseryu left Internal Affairs once she became an executive? Feels like the rules are being changed to fit however we feel they should be.

Editing and Updating policies is a part of my Assistant Executive Position. It's mainly what I've been assigned to do. Wasn't Internal Affairs supposed to be separate from the executive system, especially since Zeseryu left Internal Affairs once she became an executive? Feels like the rules are being changed to fit however we feel they should be. Not my question to answer, I'll leave that to zevante

Not even the EAO is supposed to be "editing and updating policies" unless it's related to the admin system, you yourself have already modified the executive policy to give yourself more power when it is only within Seth's jurisdiction to do so. Seems like some power plays are going on here.

The policy before this thread was made is here - imgur.com/a/HRH33m4I don't personally think this was a powergrab. Fionn has helped develop the policies in place today. His intentions, while proper, still break policy. Rather than this, I propose a vote for Fionn to gain forum mod legitimately.

I didn't edit it to give me more power, I edited it to justify why I received Forums Moderator. As for editing the policy as a whole, I'll undo the changes and leave Seth to edit it to his own accord. And as for the rank itself, I'll leave the group until Seth or Kae come out with a statement explaining why.

So you were given more power and then edited a policy above your jurisdiction to retroactively justify yourself having more power? It's kind of the exact thing that I was trying to avoid when suggesting an executive policy be created... it wasn't meant for people to edit it to subvert the democratic elements in it.
