My dude, I'm not Panther. If you remember months ago I was literally the main person advocating for you to become the owner even at the expense of the ownership policy which at the time I wanted to be delayed until after the owner was picked because I wanted more work to be put into it (see for yourself: totalfreedom.boards.net/thread/63097/global-poll-seth-new-owner, totalfreedom.boards.net/thread/63145/executives). I think you just need to take criticism better, when somebody criticizes an action that you perform you don't need to take it personally as if they're trying to depose you. I don't know if you're getting scared of the ownership policy or what, but nobody is trying to take you down. We simply want to have the system in place for if/when it is needed, and we want to change things for the better. Know what, fine. You're right, if you would of said that first I guess I would of gotten at what you trying to say to me. I guess I made a shit show. But my points in here still stand with the forums. I'll put the ownership policy back, but with logistics and the definition of an owner if I'm present and responsive I literally can just say no to removing me with it. I'm also under the stress of moving, getting a real job, etc. It's just I hate giant ass threads that go on forever. Thank you. I just think it all comes down to a matter of responsibility, when you're the leader it's expected that you constantly make compromises, argue about things, and take in criticism. The best way to avoid scenarios like this is to just avoid making rash decisions, at least not without community input. I think there's a trend of some people here that like to play "anti-democracy" and they influence you, but it's like if they had their way you literally would not have the position you have right now and they don't even realize that.

I really dont' get how you find the enviroment hostile? Political, yes, but hostile? There have been very little name-calling and personal attacks, and the threads have stayed mostly on topic. Just because we discuss opposing viewpoints does not automatically = DRAMA!! If you feel it helps, then you can always just move the threads to Admin Spam and Drama, but I still don't get why that would be nessecary, considering we were having civil discourse. Everyone's always arguing, and it's always the same people. It's repetitive and an utter shit show most of the time, if I'll be honest. I'm not sure what you expect. These arguments aren't for fun, and honestly I try to avoid them being 'arguments', I prefer discussions where it isn't two people trying their hardest to combat the opposite position regardless of the facts at hand.

Ya. This fucko has gotten implemented a fukton of things since he take owner. Some I disagree with, but a lot of it is also positive, and the fact that @creeperseth has actively steered the server in a democratic-direction (as far as I can see) is only a positive for myself, which is why this abrupt change made me have to speak up.

But you gon sit here and tell me you hate being in arguments? ? u literally try to get in arguments in every other thread i- What I mean to say is that I don't think arguments in their traditional form get anywhere, at least not until they devolve into a discussion or a compromise. When I think of an argument, I think of two sides that are determined to be right, even if it means not sticking to the facts and being disingenuous. I like to group in 'debates' with this. When I think of a discussion, I think of a less tense scenario of two sides peacefully talking about about an issue, where a disagreement is less emphasized and agreement/compromise is more likely.

I understand that, it's just that I generally don't find arguments to be all that appealing as a whole. But, we can't really stop ourselves from really arguing, as arguments are inevitable.

This community has a knack for causing arguments. Mark even came up with the term "drama" for ones that get too heated. The alternative is that there are no open discussions, only polls, which would not make people happy either.

If people don't want to meet opposing viewpoints, then perhaps the forums are not the place for them.

You have to admit that there are not a lot of game forums where the same thing happens as here during disagreements, though.
