Following alleged chemical weapons attack, Trump has ordered an air strike on Syria and reports are just coming in from Damascus (capital of Syria) about tomahawk missiles. BREAKING: A Chemical Production/Research Facility (potentially where chemical weapons are produced) and the Dumayr Airbase in Damascus have been striked by U.S. cruise missiles in the Syrian capital. "Loud explosions" are being reported from Syria.

Well the US and other countries have called Russia’s bluff on other occasions so I wouldn’t doubt if this was an addition to the list. |

Good move by Trump. I think it's very strategical. The attack was small enough to prevent a response from the Russian government, but he signaled that chemcial weapons are not tolerable. I think this also makes it clear that the US does not want to intervene in the war heavily, just draw a line in the sand.

Also there were unconfirmed reports coming in that a chemical weapons facility might not have been attacked but instead a Hezbollah base. Assad already turned over his chemical weapons. |
