This looks like the easiest one to start with because it affects few people. As much as I should keep my mouth shut because I am one, the final say on reinstatements has always been held by red tags. I actually disagree with your idea that as an executive you should keep your mouth shut. As an executive, you have the highest potential to get good ideas through. In fact, I think if you truly believe something is wrong, you should do your absolute more to try and get it fixed. Admins like to critize "the executives". Not inFAmas, me, or Mark, but "the executives", comparable to offloading issues to "the government". I haven't stood silently in a corner because of it yet, which I now realize you could read that as, and I don't plan to, but I am not a person to throw my weight around: I believe in the ability for an OP to win an argument about server security from Windows and me, and if the OP is right, I will not veto the outcome. We have not one, but two executives that were appointed specifically for these tasks. Maybe we could introduce some kind of progress report. I honestly don't think this executive role is living up to what it's supposed to be doing. And if they are, it's clearly yielding no results. I think advertising the server should be a serverwide goal, and perhaps we could find to encourage voting for our server. I could have made that more clear, my apologies: a progress report would be useful to determine what actions are being taken by these executives and other admins to reach the goals described in this thread. |
