Before I start my application, I would just like to make something clear, which I really don't like to talk about that much because of how many problems I have socially because of this. However, I feel that admins are mature enough to be educated about this and would be wise enough to know why I sometimes have trouble being an admin. This does have an outcome on my application, which is why I am posting it. Anyway, to get to the point, my vision is very poor, 20/200 in fact, which in the United States is considered "legally blind". I won't have the ability to drive when I grow up (unless there is some type of new technology that will allow me to do so), and I have many special modifications at school. You are probably wondering how this affects my performance as an admin.
You may have noticed that I am on the server a lot instead of using telnet. This is because the text in the telnet client is WAY to small for me to be able to read comfortably. I understand that computers have zoom and all that, but it is still extremely eye-straining to have to read that tiny text on a white background. It makes me dizzy. I find Minecraft chat MUCH more easier to read, which is why I mainly perform admin duties on the server instead of using telnet. I understand that sometimes, I do have to use telnet, especially as a senior admin, however, I would like all of you to understand that my vision is what keeps me from using telnet, and that I can still perform full senior duties if I were to get accepted. Thank you all for reading this notice.
1. Your Minecraft name:
mrnintendoguy1
2. Your Twitter handle. You must have a working Twitter account to be a senior admin:
KekistaniOfficer
3. What date were you appointed to telnet admin status? For example 10 Jun 2012. Also, state how many times you were removed from telnet status due to rules violations and why (do not include instances of removal for inactivity):
I was appointed telnet status on 20 September, 2013. I was never removed for rule violations besides a quick verification about a month ago.
4. Provide a short paragraph of your accomplishments as a super/telnet admin and why you think you'd made a good senior admin:
My time on TotalFreedom has been quite short compared to all the other admins, but a lot has happened during the past few months I have had admin status. When I was SPaS'd, I felt like I was a part of a big family. I was blessed to be welcomed into a new environment at my level. I may have been the runt at the time, but I felt confident that I would do great as an admin. I wiggled my way into the community very rapidly, and I made friends quickly. All of this socializing actually reinforced my social skills in real life, which had been poor at the time because of the burdens that came with my disability. As of now, I feel like I am more of an outgoing on confident person in real life, but also on the server. About a month after, I had decided to make a telnet application. My first, AND SECOND telnet applications may not have been successful, but I had the strength to keep making them until I finally got the response I wanted. The first few weeks of my telnet experience, I started the realize the importance in helping the server in a diversity of ways. I wanted to branch out, so I asked Lolz if I could assist him in training admins. I started with Exo, who had just been approved admin. When Lolz saw the training results, he decided that I was the one for the job. I think this will give me reinforced structure through my time as senior. I think I will be a good senior because of my ability to complete tasks in an appropriate manner and my overall smarts. I want to help with anything I can and I would love to do so as senior.
5. How often can you be on the server to perform senior administrative duties? State either daily, several times a week, once or twice a week, or less than once a week:
I can be on the server daily (usually). If not, several times a week.
6. Names of senior admins that have recommended you. You must have at least one senior recommend you:
Sardenarin, and Connor. I will continue to add names if anyone else wants to be on this list.
7. A senior admin is at even greater risk of DDOS/DOX by griefers/hackers than super admins. Do you accept this higher risk? For more info about DDOS, see www.totalfreedom.boards.net/thread/4410/response-attacks-blocking-skype-resolvers:
I do understand the higher risk of online attacks that follow me being promoted and I am happy to take any necessary steps to prevent this.
8. Did you pick a super admin under the Telnet Pick A Super (TPAS) program? If so, who was it:
I decided not to pick anyone for TPaS as I haven't seen anyone who meets my standards yet.
