dude most of the time i've played java edition of minecraft i keep seeing these weird lines on blocks in the distances most notably with wood planks and grass. and i have no idea what causes this at all. observe the funny plank block closely A closer look at the wood plank block i found. if you look closely it takes the formation of a plus sign im really interested in fixing it, call me picky but like its irritated me for the longest time. i dont know what it is but i've turned every setting up as high as i can

This is the moire pattern. If I remember this also has some shit to do with the nyquist theory but don't quote me on that.

If you have optifine, there is an option to smooth out background rendering. It smooths out the sharp angles in the background and for me, fixed the weird swirly problem.
