It took us months to get the free op server to be stable on 1.15. What makes you think that it won't take weeks or even months for the SMP server to be stable on 1.16 when we have historical evidence that tells us otherwise? Because FreeOP =/= SMP. The SMP's plugins are much more manageable and in hindsight, we really only need WorldGuard, Factions, TF-SMP, and SMPItems. I already told you in game that the EngineHub suite of plugins (WorldEdit, WorldGuard) are a pain in the ass to update and do not get updates for new Minecraft versions fast. Same with Factions, Ivan decided to use the worst version of Factions available, we'll have to switch to FactionsUUID or another actively maintained version of Factions. The one we used is maintained by some obscure author who ported the 1.12 version to 1.15, and we may never see another update again. The SMP plugins are our responsibility to update. Also, CoreProtect is a must have, although that shouldn't need to be updated. I don't care if you decide to buy a VPS and move the server there so you can use as many BlackSpigot plugins as you please and 1.16. While I'm around, SMP is going to thoroughly be tested and be stable and not rush updates onto the server.

How do you know that's as a result of the map? Because what is there to do? The Ender Dragon has been killed (and has been for months), all farms are complete, there is a villager shop where you can buy practically every single enchant, there are emerald farms where you can get two stacks of emeralds in less then 10 minutes, diamonds aren't at any value anymore, everyone on the server has an elytra or can buy one, bases are complete. me and tozzits village isn't done :pensive:

Okay, we won't rush. Give it 1 week after 1.16 comes out. I am resetting it though. It took us months to get the free op server to be stable on 1.15. What makes you think that it won't take weeks or even months for the SMP server to be stable on 1.16 when we have historical evidence that tells us otherwise? lol no it didnt

Running a survival server is very very different to a Freedom / creative server, mainly because as you say, you get to an "End-Game" State and what do you do, and that's really where you then need an active community of players to keep it working.
I agree that the Map probably does need a reset from what I've read here, it is a necessary evil of running a survival server due to the way worldgen works, but also it gives people an opportunity to basically play the server all over again.
I think it's probably also worth thinking about what the 'Purpose' of the server is. Ie is it just somewhere for admins to piss about in a survival world, or is it that you want to build an actual community of players on the server, because those are two very very different things, and need very different styles of management. For context when I took over running DarthCraft years back (Throwback for some), it was 3 of us running that server and it took a lot of time, it's a lot of work constantly tweaking how the economy of the server worked to make sure things still had value and tweaking plugins and server config to make sure people were still having a reason to come on and play beyond that of just pissing about, and it took a lot of work to build up a small but active community, we'd basically always have 5-10 people on the server, which meant people wanted to come on and relax for a bit because they could chit chat. But if you just care about a small server admins can piss about on, that's far far less work...
Just my 2 cent on the matter, but I think this needs to be thought out a lot more generally than just is a map reset a good idea.
