When did you her to determine what the MB World is? Even if I grant you your point, then I would ask: what's the point of AW? I've seen some builds in adminworld that idk if they should be publicly visible. If they aren't appropriate for Ops to see, then perhaps the shouldn't have been built. And the only thing I can think of that would be inappropriate are builds that violate the conduct policy.

Im gonna be honest this is one of the worst ideas youve ever had. sorry neo :pensive:. Ops managed to bypass masterbuild world and could easily do the same for Adminworld.

Why aren't they able to build on the normal maps? We have protected plots, we have the normal map, if it works for the players why wouldn't it work for the admins that aren't master builders? I do see where you're coming from. I view adminworld as a more permanent and a more collaborative thing. There's this sort of attitude that nothing built in flatlands is very permanent, due to inevitable griefing that slips through the cracks, and the constant moving of spawn. People make giant builds, and just kind of abandon them and make new ones elsewhere. As for plots, that's more personal as opposed to collaborative. Maybe 2 or 3 people will work on one plot, but we have a lot of admins. Is adminworld absolutely necessary? No. But I don't see why that's a good argument against it. It just isn't that big of a deal. Adminworld do just be vibing doe AW could be replaced with the hub world.

I have never understood why admins require their own entire world to cave away from the normal peasants on the server and don't even want them to be able to view the world. At the very least, it should be publicly viewable for players. The master builder world and admin world comparison is a false equivalence because the master builder world serves a creative function on the server which we need, the admin world is not necessary by any means other than to incentivize people to apply for admin for the special building access, which in itself is a problem that we should addressing, we shouldn't have to have an admin world. If things made a bit more sense, we would just have the master builder world instead of the admin world, and admins would have to apply for the master builder role to receive access to it just like a player would, and if they didn't qualify for that role then they'd have no problem building in the worlds that players already have access to anyways. Creativity should be separated from administration, going off and building isn't part of administration. The way I see it, it's just a fun little thing for admins to take a breather and do stuff on their own. I think what people keep forgetting is that admins on TF aren't paid, and this isn't a formal job. It isn't that big of a deal. In conclusion: It's not that deep bro Edit: I object, nothing personal this is the exact reason why, admins have to deal with A LOT of shit, we just need a break, a place away from all of the chaos of the ops, a place with no risk what so ever of being greifed, a place were we can just sit down and take a fucking break

I object. You can add a guest to adminworld.

It just isn't that big of a deal. As it stands, there being a singular world for administrators to only visit and work at is a relic of there being no sufficient coverage protection (ex. CoreProtect and WorldGuard, both of which did not always exist on the server) meanwhile it makes no sense for it to currently exist. I don't know why you think his argument isn't "good" as it reflects the air of aristocracy that some admins possess. Having their own secluded area which normal people can't visit or monitor or even browse without special permission only symbolizes this. Why should people need special permission to visit this world, though? In addition, I can't count the amount of times I've been ignored, questioned, or denied when asked for guest access to view the things I've previously built in the adminworld. It also doesn't help when guest access wipes upon every server restart and the server's constantly restarting.

I don't know you personally, so I don't have any trust built up with you. The reason trust matters in this situation is because if you do end up griefing, and taking advantage of my trust, that reflects badly on me. I'm not saying you'd do that, but I don't know you so how could I make that call? What you would do would ultimately reflect on my judgement, or the judgement of the admin who let you on. Thats why I think a lot of admins are hesitant to add guests. We are not talking about letting Ops build, so why do you keep bringing this up?

Vouch.
Just make OPs be in spectator mode? I don't get it. Remove all permissions except for the player's existence in the world. OFT: MBW should have the same treatment #MBrights
AdminWorld is literally a world for admins - players who have invested a lot of time on the server. It's just another place to contain what players (or staff members, if you want to think specific) have done on the server. I don't understand what's different between AW, MBW, or even plots essentially. It's a place.
If you still think that invisible OPs floating around in your fancy little house unable to do anything is annoying, why not just have a blacklist instead of a whitelist?
Just in my humble opinion, it's not an issue of "is it ok", more of a "does someone want to invest that little time to it".

We are not talking about letting Ops build, so why do you keep bringing this up? Nice try but I wasn't arguing against the original proposition with this, I was replying to what Inpace said (specifically the "In addition" part). I don't think I mentioned OPs building in the adminworld in relation to the original proposition at all, so I don't know what you're talking about when you say I "keep bringing this up." For sake of keeping this thread on topic and not derailing it, let's continue this in PMs if you have a further issue here. "Nice try" but I didn't ever suggest letting operators build in the adminworld (by merit of being able to visit the world) either. I don't know where you got that from. I exemplified the difficulty to access that world because not everybody who receives guest access is looking to build there, but rather to just see what they've done in the past. How is this not on-topic? The topic of this thread is making the adminworld public and that's exactly what we're talking about. There's no reason for this to splinter into other modes of discussion. This seems like the easiest solution by far. I vouch for this suggestion and for Feuer's proposal to place guests in spectator.

Putting OPs in spectator mode would mean that anyone could bypass tptoggle by going to adminworld and using the teleport feature. If this can be remedied, then I will change my vote.

I've had to copy-paste this list I created a few times already: Spectator mode... - has a teleportation feature that overrides /tptoggle
- allows you to set your flying speed high enough to lag the server without using mods or /speed
- causes console spam if you use a teleport command while spectating someone
- makes you invisible to admins who aren't in spectator mode themselves
- allows you to see admins who are hiding in spectator mode
- puts you into a death loop if your flying is disabled
