My last suggestion as admin!
Basically, admins who reinstated up to a month before an executive application is opened would not be allowed to apply for it. No one who has only been back on the server for such a short time is qualified for an executive position.

I mean, sure, but we don't quite have an executive position open every week. I don't think we need a written policy for this.

My reasoning is that every time an executive position is opened (especially Executive Admin) people come out of nowhere any apply for it. I personally think the possibility of someone so unqualified getting the position because they're more popular is worth preventing.

Vouch. When I came back I purposely waited a bit before I even reinstated as an admin for a similar reason even though I was not forced to. The exec ranks demand an individual familiar with the current state of the server and you can't be that after a long time away.

Vouch. They should familiarize themselves with TotalFreedom before applying for a rank of such high power.

Vouch. I’d like to avoid situations where a new executive position is created or a spot is open and someone who reinstated a day ago receives it (which has happened before). I’d say a couple months after reinstatement at the minimum before you are eligible for an executive position.

Vouch. If you aren't familiar with our rules or caught up on things that have changed while you were gone, why in the hell should you be promoted to a higher position?

What is the point in barring someone from applying for a position when you could simply not vote for said person? If a person has familiarized themselves with the server within a week, then I don't see why they shouldn't be able to apply for the position, when it's already based on a democratic apparatus. If anytthing, it should be centered around the position itself... Should you be required to have played for a long time to be considered good at advertising, even if you have this in your credentials (e.g. IRL)? The suggestion is redundant, and superflous in such a way that it only adds to the big list of these policies.
Object.

Plus sometimes people just vote for whoever they like more, not who seems more likely to be active and carry out their role. Then why even have a Democratic election if people aren't voting based on merit as well? Why did I become ECD even though I am disliked so much by this community (according to some people)?

Because we had a vote between the Master Builders instead of a community wide election and you’re the most qualified to lead us at the moment.

Merits are indeed valued when voting for an applicant.
