I recently made a thread with the same subject and someone sent me some links to read more about these things. The last post was made by Lemon, saying that 4G and LTE are the same thing. But not, that’s not true. LTE stands from “Long-Term Evolution” and is not a true 4G. LTE speed is between 3G and 4G. LTE-A is an acronym from “Long Term Evolution Advanced” which presents a true 4G. In my iPhone I have 4 mobile data options (2G, 3G, 4G VoLTE off, 4G VoLTE on). My question is: what happened to LTE if that option is better than 3G and worse than 4G? Why can I access it? Where is hidden? Anybody has a solution?
I accept jailbreak solutions too (if any). I have an iPhone 8 (GSM) with iOS 13.3.1.

Where is hidden? Anybody has a solution? It literally took me and my good friend Google less than 5 seconds to find the answer.

I can't find that thing. I have only these options.
I go to Cellular - > Cellular Data Options, then i have 4 options: 2G, 3G, 4G VoLTE on and 4G VoLTE off

You are technically correct about the difference between LTE and 4G. The mistake you are making is thinking that other people care about being technically correct. When the manufacturer says the phone supports 4G, they mean both LTE and "true" 4G, even though there is a small difference. Your iPhone supports LTE, but it is called 4G in the settings.

VoLTE is completely different, it's not a cellular data thing, it's actually Voice over LTE, so you can make calls using LTE bands instead of the usual HSPA/3G+ bands on Android it also allows for carrier video calling, HD audio, and so on, and on both iOS and Android it should allow you to use LTE speeds to browse the web or something like that while you're on a call

I saw on older phones that they had LTE mobile data option. Anyway some years ago, a jailbreak tweak names “Change 4G to LTE” for iPhone has released and is working on iOS 8-10 versions. But is not working on iOS 11-13. You can change the 4G logo to LTE only in Samsung, I saw some videos in YT. Is there any possible way to change the 4G logo to LTE for iOS 13?

Or how to do that? I jail broke this iPhone many times with checkra1n. Right now is not jailbroken, but I will jailbreak it soon.

I found a solution but is so risky. If u want to change the 4G logo to LTE you need jailbreak and Filza File Manager. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Open Filza and go to /var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles/Overlay Then you will see some files. You have to open the files named “default+device+carrier+...+DXXX+XX.X.plist” (instead of these X, you have some numbers). Find these files that contains your carrier Network (for example my carrier Network is vf ro) (the CarrierName string must contain your carrier Network name). Then go to the string named DataIndicatorOverrideForLTE and change the Value from 4G to LTE. Do the same for the other files. After that save it and navigate back to “carrier bundles“ and change “Overlay” access permissions of “owner” to “read” n “execute” so that it will not revert back when iphone reboots. Then reboot your device.
For your own safety: before u make these changes, go and make a backup to the Overlay folder.
