So today, on the server, I tested a machine out with permission from Seth. This machine can bring your system FPS down to 0 within a second if you go near it. The system abuses something inside minecraft known as the 'lighting mechanic'.
I will provide a link to a video demonstrating this however it will not be posted here as ops could potentially find it and abuse it.
As I said, I did have permission from Seth and I did it for the benefit of the server.

Me and another admin tested another machine today. This machine is very easily detectable and I think I have found a way around it. It brought TPS down from 20 to 6 in the space of 3 minutes.
I am investigating into these for the benefit of TF overall.
Please leave the thread unlocked so I can keep updating it.

That is just showing that the bot can’t establish a connection to TFM’s HTTPD because the server was down. Nothing related to the machine. |
