I don't understand how you're claiming personal experience is wrong. 1440p looks way, way better and there are infinite cases where you can easily tell the difference, and those cases are not just specified to fit my description, you can find them everywhere, including this forum. I assume what you're saying is that we think 1440p is good because we expect it to be good but as I said, there are lots and lots of cases that are experienced all the time, everywhere. It genuinely feels like you never experienced 1440p but you want it to be bad Misrepresentation of what I said. 1440p is not bad, claiming that a higher resolution is bad is retarded. 1440p is objectively better than 1080p, nobody is contesting that. What I'm saying is that when you factor price, it is mostly useless to go for a 1440p monitor over a 1080p one. 1440p is an unnecessary middle-ground between 1080p and 4K. If for whatever ridiculous reason you just can't tolerate 1080p, then at that point you would just go for 4K. If you hate 1080p that much, then you wouldn't find a 1440p experience to be exponentially better than that. Factors such as refresh rate are generally more important especially with gaming. Does it have to be an exponential upgrade? It certainly isn't a small one

If you don't care how much money you put in, you might as well get 4k.

not really, i’ve been thinking about upgrading for a while and i think i should get a nice one that i’m happy with and can use for a few years i also would not get a 4k 144hz monitor as the pc you need to reach those framerates would have to be crazy good. 1440p 144hz is a good middle ground and can easily be found within your budget. im not sure how this even turned into a big argument. you wanted a 1440p or 144hz monitor within 300, i gave you one that fit all 3 requirements, it literally should just have been that simple lmao
