If you got PS4, get PS VR. I got the bundle (vr stuff, PS camera and PlayStation World game) for around about A$450, of course I had to buy the move controllers (motion). It's good but the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't track the motion controller if you have them out of sight with the camera.

I bought one recently and have been really enjoying it. If you're on the fence at the moment, I think there's a lot of promising things coming up in the near future which are worth holding off for. Oculus & Vive both have new products set for a 2019 release, and the leaked Valve headset which looks to be a big leap forward is also rumoured to be a 2019 release.
If it's something you want to hop into right now, the prices are low but you'll be getting soon to be outdated tech. If this is fine with you, which it was with me, then pull the trigger. If you're okay spending a bit more, a few months down the line, hold off to see what's coming (particularly Valve's headset). The benefit of waiting being you could also just buy the Rift at that point if the things coming don't appear to be a large enough jump for you to dish out x more amount of monies

The problem right now is that both the rift and the vive are clunky and difficult to move in. On top of that, the resolution is still so low that you can see the individual pixels without much effort. I would wait a few years and consider newer alternatives, I know vive has vive cosmos in the works, maybe wait a while and look into that instead?
