Agreed. A good way to tell when a line was crossed is for admins to ask themselves if an OP would be punished for doing the same thing. Like in this case, I am pretty sure an OP would have been punished for spamming the chat in the way some admins did. While I agree that is how our method of thinking should be, that isn't what happens. Because admins are tasked with moderating the server, and since admins are "all powerful" on the server; something like this will happen again whether viewed as negative or not. I don't know anyone who is going to report themselves in their minds for having fun. A direct cause of a situation even being possible is how we handle oversight of admins here. Since we rely on this admin-op or op-admin reporting system, no one is impartial. I don't have any concrete solutions but I also don't think the proper way to go about anything is "change the way you view misconduct, admins. Please?". It's about unwritten standards. If everyone had Light's mentality (which is entirely possible without changing any policies), there would have been no discussion here, because the admins involved clearly stepped out of line for those standards. The problem is that a lot of admins apparently have quite the opposite mentality, and neither of them are wrong.
