oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yeeeeeeeee, i've been practicing a new style for a while and i've had tons of fun sketching and drawing. looking back on my old art is also fun cuz i see art progresses and how it was kinda cringy b4. so i decided to pick some random art that i made before and try to redraw them for practicing my new style (im loving this style btw and im kinda bored on drawing cartoony) i also decided to do this to practice more on human anatomy, foreshortening, coloring, and backgrounds cuz i kinda succ on doing them uwu. anyways here are the drawings that i made for the last couple of days (each drawing took me an hour so it kinda looks rushed). ps. im open for some criticism and im not doing any commissions till i master my new art style owo (so dont msg on discord or anything) (also sry for the big ass pics ;w;) drawings: (before -> after) drawing [1]: drawing [2] drawing [3] drawing [4] drawing [5] (also gonna instert some drawings i made for practice lol)

Damn, this style change is really nice! I say you should keep your old style along side this new one. Having more than one style is useful since you can swap over to the complicated one or the simplistic one depending on how you feel or what suits the theme.

Dont wanna be that guy, but since constructive criticism is necessary for all artists ill have to. Here are some things i noticed: - Facial features are off, faces are always extremely difficult since the brain recognizes mistakes so easily. You should do some research on faces, I (and a whole bunch of actual artists) personally recommend the book "fun with a pencil" by Andrew Loomis. It goes through a bunch of different techniques to make the faces seem more natural. (Primarily the divided circle and plane method)
- The same goes for the rest of the bodies, with your earlier style it was not very necessary to draw accurate arms and legs, as they were quite "wibbly wobbly". But with this more realistic artstyle it will be important to study proportions. (Fun with a pencil goes through this, though I'm sure Loomis has some other books more specialized on the topic)
- Your shading right now seems to portrude from a single point in the picture, rather than from the scenery. Can't give advice on this one, since I'm not an artist myself.
Keep going, you're doing great!
