The minute you flipped it back over while it was still on and the water short circuited the boards, you were screwed. Best bet when you spill any kind of liquid on your electronics is to immediately turn it off, and throw it in a bag of rice for a couple days. The rice absorbs the moisture Any moisture whatsoever that remains in the circuit boards will fry it when it turns back on. I've saved a phone and a keyboard like this. It can be hit or miss. But it's better than the 100% chance you're screwed if you keep it on *puts pc in bag of rice*
