The conduct policy for admin reinstatements should be changed.
Let me explain something. Admins that are wanting to be reinstated, 90% of them don’t help out on the server before reinstatement.
A question on the reinstatement application does say ‘Have you helped out recently?’, but it doesn’t mean you NEED to help out.
The policy change I’m requesting is how can we change the way we reinstate admins, and pick the admins we do need?
Example: Let’s say Admin X went rogue. He was permbanned for around 6 months, and then appealed, and is now an OP.
X files a reinstatement. 90% admins vouch regardless of how he helps out. In fact, you never know, he could still be breaking policy.
X becomes admin. Goes rogue again.
The process repeats on and on, and that’s the problem. We don’t focus on where they help out, instead, they just think ‘oh yes he’s waited a few months it’ll do’
The policy should be changed to a requirement, such as the following:
-You must have filed at least 5 reports after suspension/inactivity in order to gain admin status -You must have one reinstatement recommendation (I made this up) -You must not have a temp ban appeal within 30 days
The above don’t have to be the requirements, but we could find a system around it.
Please vouch or object with reason, and it may sound stupid (the idea) but I think it would help the server

Object. The idea of having people having to reinstate with tighter rules is a bad idea. The idea of it is to correct the admin, it's called a chance. That's why they're nearly identical so they have the same rules, albeit slightly tighter. Imagine people like Video having to do this because they were in contact with Scutix and were just coincidentally in contact, that wouldn't be fair to the admin to reinstate because their crime was just a coincidence. You saying 90% should be more 40% because time zones and because some of them were removed for reasons that were just coincidental. I honestly think this is a bad idea.

Objection. Requirements are very demanding. As you said they can be changed but still. Not only that, for inactivity, 90% of the time it's for school and stuff. We have lives that require breaks. Ktoby also makes a good point with someone like Video.

object You must have one reinstatement recommendation (I made this up) this isn't necessary at all, what purpose does this serve if admins are already voting? You must not have a temp ban appeal within 30 days have you thought of if the ban was a range ban, or an impostor? You must have filed at least 5 reports after suspension/inactivity in order to gain admin status there shouldn't be a limit, former admins should be free to file as many griefer reports as they like. it would show whether or not they should receive admin status again

This is already a question, have you performed anything to merit a reinstatement?

There are quite strict regulations on the administrators that get reinstated. If they have been suspended, people vote on their application on whether or not they see them fit to come back. To be honest, I do agree that we should see some way of help from them before they go ahead and get their rank back, but I also feel that if they want another chance, it's never too late for them to prove that they can have it.
