OP's on the server are able to use World Edit to place Water/Lava, but they cannot place Water/Lava using bucket. What kind of logic is that? I'd suggest removing OP's access to place water via W/E but allowing them to use bucket instead. This could potentially prevent mass griefing, decrease the amount of lag on the server, and stop people from crashing the server using this method.

We literally just allowed lava placement via WorldEdit a few months ago. It's useful for building swimming pools.
Object.

I object, I suggest we allow both actually. We have some admins that can handle grief, any type of grief

I vote for allowing water and lava using both WorldEdit and buckets as long as fluidspread is disabled. We can already toggle buckets from ingame, but they are disabled by default.

Here's a question: are water buckets/lava buckets undetectable with CoreProtect? I know W/E can be traced via coreprotect.
Admins, test this.

What's the problem with fluidspread, since CoreProtect can log spreading water [and lava] (#water, #lava) - whereas the logstick couldn't. I vouch for unrestricting fluid-block usage (a.k.a. allowing for bucket and selection fluid placement; along with enabled-by-default fluidspread). Here's a question: are water buckets/lava buckets undetectable with CoreProtect? No. Regardless of source, water and lava are logged.

Why not:
Allow: Water via Bucket and Worldedit Lava via Bucket
Block: Lava via worldedit Lava spread
I like the idea, and understand the concept, but there will never be grief-free.

If an administrator is doing their job (i.e. monitoring the spawn while watching each player's commands), this shouldn't be a problem.

Wouldn't it crash the server if Fluid Spread got enabled and someone pasted a massive hsphere of water?
