i'm usually online and sometimes see a large amount of admins online, other times there are very few so i have mixed opinions on this

I feel like there’s so many admins, but then most of them are barely active. As much as we want to blame the application system for our number of administrators, it isn't at fault. Sheer numbers alone are irrelevant if the majority aren't active [which has been proven to be the case]. Furthermore, crediting the application system alone [ignoring SPaS] for the number of administrators isn't fair, either. If administrators don't want to see new administrators, they can stop handing out their recommendations, vouching and being lenient to operators. The amount of administrators [once again, ignoring SPaS] only increases when administrators let it increase. Before SPaS is addressed as a culprit, there are hardly enough administrators appointed through the process to have a large effect, and furthermore, it can be revoked within the period of thirty days. |

Number of admins matters little, it's the number of active admins and the timezones with which they're active during. Even if we had 20 admins that were all active, if they're all from NA East, than there's a big gap of time there uncovered.
This server has been around for many years now (probably more than half the life of a chunk of people here...) and someone who was active 5 years ago isn't as likely to be active now. With the fact people retain admin forever (unless explicitly removed) the number will always be increasing.
Tldr; active admins =/= overall admin numbers, I have no opinion on the number of those active because I am not

If we had a single cyborg as an admin that was administrating 24/7, we would have enough admins. We are still focusing too much on numbers instead of distribution.

I personally think we have a lot of admins, but the problem is the same this that Kash said, the majority is inactive, but I would like to add that sometimes admins get a bit immature, so I vote we need a few more.
