Just paid $170 for a 27-inch Samsung LED display. It has a 1 ms response time, 60 Hz refresh rate, 1080p... and its bright enough to just about blind someone (ok maybe not, but still its insanely bright compared to what I'm used to). I also got a decent set of Logitech speakers to go with it.

Could you possibly suggest some good monitors that I could buy? My price range is around the price of the monitor mentioned in the thread. Unfortunately though, I’m in the UK so I pay in pounds. Price range: £90-£130 In dollars: $120-$175 Here’s some good websites that I’d prefer to buy from, I’m just not good with monitor specs: www.amazon.co.ukwww.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/index.htmlwww.game.co.uk/m/www.argos.co.ukIf necessary for compatibility checks for the monitor, here’s my PC specs that I will use it with: OPERATING SYSTEM:
- Windows 10 (64-bit)
PROCESSOR:
- Intel® Core™ i5-7400 Processor - Quad-core - 3.0 GHz / 3.5 GHz (Turbo Boost) - 6 MB cache
RAM:
- 8GB DDR4 - 2400 MHz - 32 GB maximum installable RAM
GRAPHICS CARD:
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 - 2 GB - 10th generation Pascal
STORAGE:
- 1 TB HDD, 7200 rpm - 128 GB SSD
MOTHERBOARD:
- Motherboard Intel® H110
Will be upgrading to a GTX 1060-1070 and possibly an i7 in the future
Hope you or anyone else could list some good ones with the websites shown, I don’t know anything about monitors, it would be much appreciated.

Mine is exactly like yours but without the Logitech Speakers and only 21 inch. It's lower priced though.

High response time = bad for gaming (and everything else really if it is high enough). I personally can not stand screens with higher than about 5 ms response time, and my current display is 1 ms.

I have some Sandstrøm 2.1 Channel Speakers ("Sandair"?), they're really good. I have a dual-monitor setup, one TCL 1080p 60Hz on the left, and one LG 1080p 60Hz in the middle. I believe both are 24" (or 27, cannot remember.).

Nice. Try getting a curved screen though > I did, and it was so terrible I had to return it immediately. The mouse blurred across the screen, and the back-light was awful. The curve also distored the picture enough to make it harder to use the PC. No thanks.

Ive had amazing experience with curved monitors A 27-inch Samsung of some sort. I ended up getting a non-curved version of the same monitor and its a lot nicer for me. I also don't have good vision with my left eye (majority of what I see comes from the right) so that curve probably does not work as well for me for that reason. The curved monitors have a higher response time, and that is something I am very sensitive to. Multiple monitor models exist for exactly this sort of reason. Everyone is different and no one screen is suitable for everyone.
