1. Approx date and time you suspended the admin. Few minutes behind on the creation of this post 2. Why you suspended the admin - include relevant log entries I turned in online mode, he logged in, and then started randomly banning users with "hacked by savnith" Bypassed using an alt, and then started harassing me, and then got gtfo'd 3. Did you attempt to correct the admin before suspending him/her to include a short time removal (e.g. 10 mins)? No. 4. Did you notify the admin that you removed them from and why? No. 5. If you answered no to either 3 or 4, please explain. Except in extreme case such as the admin going rogue, I would expect yes answers for both. User gone rogue, but most likely it's because it was savnith the entire time. Next time look at the damn past username list. namemc.com/profile/xGamez_.2

It's a security incident that's not Wetzu's fault. It's a problem with TFM.

The problem with this particular scenario is that we allow non-premium players to be admin. Which is ridiculous in the first place.

A lot of the admins on this server are really young, and they would rely on their parents to buy the game for them, and some would refuse.

If they're too young to be trusted with 26 dollars worth of video games, they shouldn't be admin.

That's why admins should still have to verify in online mode and fix the problem in TFM. This would easily fix the problem. totalfreedom.boards.net/thread/56900/tfm-security-issue

Due to this occurrence, we should at least enforce the use of premium accounts, or create a slot in your profile section to show whether the admin has a premium or cracked account. Super Admins and higher are the only ones that should have the privilege to view if an admin has a cracked or premium account through this tab on another admin's 'My Profile' tab.
By doing so, it allows us to know whether an admin is has a premium account or not in order to make our jobs easier. It may not be the most efficient, but the idea may come to use next time someone tries to verify.
Suggestions aside, something should be enforced in order for other related issues with users using an admin's name to not be able to take advantage of their super'd account for TotalFreedom.

Without changing the TFM or throwing all of them out, there is no way for cracked admins to protect themselves against this. It was technically not a breach because nothing that belonged to him was hacked.

^ If that's the case then a patch may be necessary. It probably isn't a bad idea to keep cracked admins removed until the patch is implemented as the main concern is it that this could have spread the word, so to say to say, and it may be attempted again.

I don't have a problem with that, but it would also concern admins that have never had a similar issue before. It's a fairly trivial fix, so I hope we won't have to wait around too much anyway.
