So one of my friends, his minecraft won't work. He said he has uninstalled it, because it was glitching and when he tried reinstalling it, it wouldn't work. He also told me that when he opens certain files it comes up with something weird. and if he opens file explorer it becomes a blue screen.

Tell him to run a check disk on it. The file system is probably damaged and needs to be fixed.

if none of the above work, Java might be a problem. Tell him to reinstall Java as it's the only solution I pretty much know, usually reinstalling Java resolves these kinds of issues.

if none of the above work, Java might be a problem. Tell him to reinstall Java as it's the only solution I pretty much know, usually reinstalling Java resolves these kinds of issues. The launcher he is trying to install comes with its own Java and does not use the system-installed version.
