3000 civilians do not die everyday. Three thousand civilians is close to the entire estimate for civilians killed by coalition in Syria and Iraq over the last 3 years (although numbers have spiked dramatically since Trump took office). Whenever even a small number of civilians die there is massive news coverage of it, certainly not memorializing it years later, but that's how the world works. American's don't memorialize the attacks in Paris, but I bet you those living in Paris do. If you're going to spew bullshit at least make a reasonable statement. Now for instance your 7 interventions the US is involved with, Afghanistan has a medium presence, Somalia has a low presence, Libya has a low presence, Nigeria has a low presence, the Philippines has a low presence, American active presence in Iraq is extremely pulled back at this point and Syria is the only country now where you get true amounts of civilians killed. 3000 a day is something not even Islamic State propaganda would claim because it's so factually inaccurate that not even a diehard supporter would believe that absurd number. "9/11 happens every day" is evidently hyperbole. America killed millions of innocent people through unjust invasions of countries that didn't attack them though, correct? The point is what we've done in the middle east is 10000x worse than the one thing that has happened to us. The numbers game is not a good one to play in this scenario. Anyway, make a thread on this instead of hijacking this one.

That's not the truth, that's trying to make a point by not telling the truth.

It's also hard to take anything you say seriously because your username is literally salty fake news. You're right, they were unnecessary. But guess what? Most of the time we invaded was because something was happening in that country (a civil war, a terrorist hive); If you have done wrong by our country or if your country is doing stupid shit that could put us or the world at stake we are going to intervene. America not only looks out for itself but it's smart enough to look out for everyone else too.

America not only looks out for itself but it's smart enough to look out for everyone else too. Yes we topple foreign governments lead by horrific dictators, that's right, and then we institute our own fascist dictator to serve our corporations' interests (Exxon Mobil specifically). Or we will topple those dictators and just leave the area and no, people don't get together and form a democracy, there's a power vacuum and terror groups rise out of that. How do you think we got IS? A power vacuum that we created after toppling a powerful dictator. If you think about it, none of these problems would be going on if the Ottoman Empire was still a thing. Wanna know why? Because a big empire was controlling the middle east, there was no power vacuum. And America does not "look out for everyone else". Is killing millions of people looking out for everyone else? Literally all of the problems we have right now with refugees and foreign terrorism and IS are all problems we created from the War on Terror. Whenever America gets into the middle east, it ends up making everything worse. Look at Afghanistan for example, the Taliban now controls more areas than they did before. Look at Iran, they were on the verge of becoming a secular democracy and then we had the Islamic Revolution thanks to the CIA, which was a very unpopular revolution and resulted in an Iran that was anti-America and had a supreme leader/ayatollah (the same Iran we have now). All because the previous Iranian government nationalized energy so that tells you why we're really in the middle east, because oil.
