I am considering getting a new laptop soon since the laptop I have is declining in performance. I'm already looking at AMD Radeon R5 graphics and 12GB of RAM, but the real question I have is about the processsor. I can choose between a 3 GHz Dual-core or a 2.5GHz Quad-core. Which one would be better? (My old laptop's processor is 2.1 GHz)

More cores, the better, even if it is slower

More cores, the better, even if it is slower Depends on what you're doing with it. Also, not all cores & Ghz are made the same. Processor names please?

Wait for AMD Ryzen on mobile then get one of those. That or wait for Intel Coffee Lake. Then you'll get more for the money than with current hardware.
