Does anyone know a free domain site? I expect something not like .net or .com.

You're not going to find a free .net or .com domain, however, you can get a free .ga or .tk domain (I prefer .ga). If you are a student, you can get a .me domain for one year for free by signing up to Github education with your school email address.

The reason you can't get a free .com or .net is that the TLD registry, the company that manages all domains with a certain ending, also takes money when you buy a domain. A company called Freenom has cut a deal with the registries for .tk, .ml, .ga, .cf, and .gq to allow their domains to be given out for free, so you need to go there to get what you want. The person behind Freenom is however known for some shady practices.
