My name is BrokenDestiny411. I sometimes go by Yushiro Gowa on most games, but I mainly stick to this one.
I am seventeen years old and have suffered the unfortunate everyday fate of being harrassed, abused, bullied and pushed around, lied to, had friends turn on me, and if the mental pain couldn't get worse I am almost prone to this kind of thing EVERY day.
I have been a bully victim for seventeen years straight, non stop. I'm talking from 1st grade all the way up to 10th grade. Every day from that point to now I have taken non stop abuse that is completely unnecessary and has no point of existence. I apologize if I sound like some kid trying to get attention, but people really do suffer from this kind of thing. Not just emotionally, but physically. I know, because I've been through Hell and back, practically.
One day, in late May of 2010, I had gotten home from school, emotionally shattered. People had been making up rumors about me that cost me valuable friends, I had been beaten up, stolen from, harrassed, exploited for my condition (I have severe ADHD) and gotten in trouble with almost every teacher and principle. The thing was, I didn't deserve it. I didn't do anything to those people that did this to me. By the time I had gotten back from the store with my uncle who I was living with at the time, he got a call from the school about an incident involving an encounter with one of the bullies in my class. He had framed me for something I didn't do. That same night I was wrongfully punished for something I didn't do.
With all the abuse I was taking that month, I couldn't take anymore. The pain was eating me alive like a parasite rotting me from the inside out and I couldn't take any more of the pain. I got a knife that I had kept in my room.....and tried to end the suffering.
If my uncle had not come into my bedroom at that exact moment to stop me, I wouldn't be here to type this message to you all.
Now some counseling was done and my life was turned around. We did this, they did that, etc. With the problems out of the way, I decided to find a game to express some creativity. And that game happened to be Minecraft. I then realized it supported Multiplayer and people could build with each other.
What I didn't know is that internet bullies lurked on this very game.
Then I found the Total Freedom server; a server with absolutely NO direct restrictions, you could do whatever you want. So I got on just yesterday, and the very second I get on the server, I tell everyone that I'm not immature and rage-prone as I used to be in the past, that I've learned not to give up. I guess I should have never said that because everyone around me starts calling me a troll the very second I said that. Here is my question: What would be so suspicious about a short message that I learned to be bolder and more stubborn against the traps of social life?! I know way better than to troll someone just for fun because I'm not like those people that make people their personal bitches yet claim to be "innocent" in the end.
While I'm on the subject, let's talk about those kinds of people.
To every griefer that plays on this server, nobody did anything to you. You made the choice to do this all by yourself. Just because somebody sees you the first time while you're doing your "job" doesn't mean that you have to chase after them like a wolf on a rabbit. They are not your prey, they are innocent people just trying to enjoy a stress-relieving virtual world, and you're taking all the fun away from them, turning the entire thing into one big cesspool. And "they", the people that suffer this unnecessary treatment, happen to include me. What is so unique about them and what makes it so appropriate for you to instantly make them your next target?! What did we ever do to you?! What did we do to deserve this?! And yet, in the end, nobody helps those people out. None of the admins want to believe the victim's story, nobody wants to listen to what happened when they're obviously telling the bold and plain truth after they not only witnessed it happening but HAD it happen to them!
All you bullies need to grow up. Yes, I know this is the internet, but that's not the point. I have seen news stories and headlines about teens committing suicide because of people on Facebook/Myspace and other social networks, but the ugly truth is that it doesn't just happen on the social networks, it happens in online games as well. Just because we use the internet to do these things doesn't mean it's right. And that's coming from a guy who has suffered this treatment and been through the mental turmoil!
Griefers, what if we had done those kinds of things to you in real life, let alone a virtual world?! How would you feel? I bet you'd feel the exact same way. Well let me tell you; you deserve it after what you did to these people. Forget about trying to cope with this kind of thing, this has gone TOO FAR!
gfgI'm not some butthurt kid trying to get attention from an administrator to tell them about someone harrassing me on a game, I am a person who has suffered and been through so much shit in my life that it's not even funny. I have YEARS more experience with the internet than any griefer has ever had, and while I don't know everything about the world around me I do know that it's not funny to make someone look bad like this.
To anyone who has been treated like this: I am on your side. I have been through what you have, plenty of other times, but even through years of encounters it still doesn't "brush off" like some little scab. It's an emotional scar that may never heal. But we can take a stand against this. If we could get more administrators on the server, people who actually know what they're doing with their powers, we can work to make Total Freedom hub a better place, a much more enjoyable experience and most importantly, a place where people can actually make friends with one another and not just fight over whether their cabin or house was burnt down or their armor was stolen from them. I have only once gotten revenge on another server but that wasn't on Total Freedom. Anyway, we need to work and make Total Freedom actually playable again. While I realize that the entire internet may NEVER be rid of Griefers, that doesn't mean we can't prevent people like them from giving everyone a living hell.
I apologize if this looks irrational and possible immature, but this is a real problem that people shouldn't have to deal with. This is coming from a true bullying
victim!
Let us all take a stand against Griefing. Let's unite and make Total Freedom ACTUALLY totally free from nightmares like this!!
