If a member or another admins tells you something that suggests they need immediate help in real life, your response is simple. Insist they seek help in real life because you or anybody else in the virtual game world here can't provide urgent assistance. Depending on the problem, the person might need a doctor, hospital, social worker, cop, minister, etc. Insist they get help in real life and than after the immediate crisis is over, you can chat about it. If you try to help instead of somebody that's qualified to help, you could up being responsible for making a situation even worse. Be firm with the person and avoid being dragged into a situation that you shouldn't be responsible for. It's also important because you might know the whole story - just one side of the story or the person could be telling a story. Whether they are or not makes no difference - you're telling them to get help in real life. If you consider the person a good friend of the person in real life (not just knowing the person online) or you're a family member, it's pretty much the same thing but keep in mind, if you do something about it apart from steering the person to get help, you become partly responsible for whatever happens afterwards.
