[PREPROCESS_COMMAND] jj100(jj100): /ban AcidicCyanide
(An admin smited jj100 - appropriate response. Using /noob would also be appropriate)

Apparently xXWilee999Xx goes on to PVP him.
Since another admin had already taken action, xXWilee999Xx's actions were overkill / abusive. Seniors, please monitor this admin closely.

This was when Wilee decided to pvp him in creative. I asked him what he was doing, and he said this.
2013-03-24 04:27:04 [INFO] <xXWilee999Xx> he tried to ban an admin 2013-03-24 04:27:09 [INFO] <xXWilee999Xx> so he deserves this

This reminds me, when someone is unwanted pvping or creative pvping, I usually put them in survival and use /strength on (which makes mobs/people that you hit die immediately) and I hit them. I do NOT do it more than once to a person. Should I just do a smite or is this okay. Also I don't do this to anyone who does something bad, just to people pvping while not abiding to the rules. Like, is this abusive, and should I stop?

This frustrates me Apres. You are punishing a rule breaker by breaking the rules. I don't know why in god's name so many admins do this, but it's basically acting like a giant hypocrite. You're supposed to enforce the rules, yet you're breaking an incredibly simple one by pvping someone in creative.
Mark has said multiple times that admins aren't above the rules. We're subject to most of the same rules because players won't respect rule breakers and they'll just take it as a "If an admin is doing it, why can't I?"

I don't mind 'griefing' the griefer but always best to use admin functions to do it. For example, if somebody is using PVP without permission, I got no problem using /orbit to help them get the message and protect other players.
However since the server is often crowded, /noob is probably the best option since it gets them off the server for 5 mins so they can read the website rules and allows others to get on the server. Going PVP on a PVP griefer is a just punishment in my opinion but other players who aren't involved will just see that admin is apparently violating the rules as Varuct noted. I must say I've done it myself in the past on rare occasion but with some kind of announcement that I'm punishing the griefer with his own medicine. But at the present, we now have an arsenal of admin disciplinary commands at our disposal - use them.
The problem here is an admin already took appropriate action and the 2nd admin (xXWilee999Xx) decided to go thug with excessive and abusive punishment. If the perception by players is that the admins are jack boot thugs who abuse their authority, good players will leave the server and we're going to invite retaliation against the server by those who now feel justified in attacking the server with options that we might not be able to do anything about such as DDOS.
