There's a problem for windows 10 for my computer.
So, my computer is Windows 8.1 Pro.
All updates are installed.
Windows or Updates are not blocked.
Yet, the Get Windows 10 app is not showing up on my taskbar. Help?
EDIT: It's made to "reserve your e-mail address" so you can get it.

It doesn't work if you're a pirate. Check if Windows is activated.

Plenty of people I know IRL have got the notification on OEM PCs. Also, OEMs do not control Windows updates at all. Dell can't just stop all updates to older models for example, as long as they run a currently supported version of Windows. Is the PC custom, or did you buy it pre-assembled, with the OS already on it? I think I got it pre-assembled. Take it back to where you bought it from if possible, and get a proper license. If someone sold you a PC with a not activated copy of Windows, and no serial key/COA, then what they did is illegal. |
