Throughout the past few weeks, the Turkish backed Government of National Accord has fiercely pushed against Warlord Haftar's forces and Gaddafi loyalists. Egypt seems to be itching to get in on the action, deploying nearly 200 tanks to their border with Libya. In what is almost a mini Syrian civil war, the GNA was cornered into the Northwest corner of the country till Turkey sent its troops to back them earlier this year. It is interesting, however, to see how quickly governments topple and shift in Libya vs Syria. For reference, here's a map of Libya on March 26th: And here it is 2 days ago:

LNA advance was entirely from GNA forces pulling back, Sirte was taken in a single day by LNA while it took GNA 9 months to take it from IS. Turkish direct support through drones, and air defense, has been a game changer, along with moving thousands of former Syrian rebel forces into Libya to fight for the GNA as mercs.
As always though, Libya will continue to be a proxy war for the next couple of years and anytime it looks like the conflict slides in one direction or the other, we'll see some sort of escalation.
