This policy applies to any admin who has a family member who uses our server and is being flagged as an admin when they logon (i.e. they share the same IP as the admin) AND they live in the same household as the admin.
NOTE 1: Only one member of the admin's family will be allowed to be selected under this policy - see the alternatives below in the case of having more than one family member wanting to use the server.
1. If a family member of an admin uses the server for more than 30 days, they must apply to be family member admin or not use the server. The application for family member admin status is here:
totalfreedom.boards.net/thread/35831/family-member-admin-application
a. The 30 days starts from the first time they use Total Freedom (the 30 days forum membership requirement is waived but they must have a forum account). When they apply for admin, they will be given special consideration based on having the direct oversight of a family member that is already a TF admin.
b. However, if the sponsoring family admin or other admins believe the family member is totally unqualified or determined to be serial rules violator, they will be disapproved and para 2 below applies.
2. Alternatives (If family member is not eligible for admin status)
a. The admin or the family member must use a proxy to avoid the family member being flagged as an admin.
b. The family member should use an associated server or other server.
c. The family members can use the account of the admin however any misuse of the account will be the complete responsibility of the admin.
Non-compliance with the policy will result in the admin being suspended until the matter is resolved.
NOTE 2: A family member admin may show the rank as the sponsoring admin when their IPs match and the server is in non-premium (cracked) status. Even so, the family member admin should only do admin actions consistent with their approved rank (e.g. super admin) and if possible, manually tag themselves with the lower rank. In any case, the sponsoring admin will be fully responsible if the family member admin abuses privileges. From our perspective, it's the IP that has admin status and whatever actions come from that IP have been done by the sponsoring admin. If a family member makes promotion on their own ability and outrank their family member, they become the sponsor and will be held responsible for any mis-conduct from their IP.
NOTE 3: If the admin who sponsors a family member is suspended, the family member loses admin too unless they earned admin without family sponsorship although if the IP becomes perm banned due to perm ban level offenses, all will lose admin and access.
