Object, the re-write thread made clear that we've not changed / loosened the restrictions on any of the rules and therefore this should not be necessary. The issue with the rewrite is there's loopholes Again, see my previous thread on this. I've been assured by those that wrote the new policy it is identical in it's covering and enforcement as the old one, and as such we shouldn't need this suggestion. If there are loopholes or it is not currently fit for purpose, it should be retracted until such a time the community is actually happy with it.

The one about the law for example, it could be any law in the world. You could be in a country that allows keylogging, but the server might be based in one that doesn't, and it is. User could say 'in my country it's allowed and this is what the rules say too'.

...? isnt this thread arguing to bring back the chunks, meaning they won't be changed, they'll just be the same as before? meaning theres no change to the policy other than transparency? He's making a rhetoric argument. Some people claim that the new conduct policy is exactly the same as the old one, so if that is really the case, the old text doesn't have any extra explanation in it because they say the exact same thing according to those people. I acknowledge that we have oversimplified it, but the intention with the rewrite is to remove redundancies and outdated rules, so effectively making administrating the same. This acknowledgement is why myself, and other people that helped rewrite the policy have already vouched on this suggestion.

User could say 'in my country it's allowed and this is what the rules say too'. I have fixed it to say we operate under US law.
