I'm conflicted. If someone was applying for an executive position for example, and someone didn't think they'd do a good job but was afraid of retaliation, they would have a more difficult time giving their view without it negatively impacting them. This works both ways in that people can make irrational votes for no reason without the opportunity for onlookers to question them. Also, what "retaliation" is there on this forum?

I think people need to get better at asking the right question on the suggestions and making sure not to list of 200 changes they want to make.
Polls show the communities intent, but it doesn't show the context behind it, and if we're going to ban polls on suggestions, we should also be banning objections / vouches on suggestions and admin applications, as they also lack the context (Which I'm for btw).
I think we're solving the wrong problem by banning polls here... It'll just go back to people posting in the thread with zero context as to why they made that decision.
