aight so the bottom of the screen displays a green line when on white background and a pink line when on black background, what could be causing this?

^ Or potentially you've put too much pressure on it depending on how thick the disruption is. Easiest option generally is to replace the entire screen if it's annoying.

Well, I had something like this happen to me recently. I broke my primary monitor by accident and as time goes the pixels near the crack get worse and worse which now ended up with hundreds of dead pixels on my screen, well, the best you can do is buy a new monitor or get a new screen card if you're on a laptop.
On red wallpapers, the lines turns from purple into black. On blue they turn red. Feels weird but I got used to it until I get a new monitor.
