Whatever happened to the beta testing thing that Seth was going to set up to prevent stuff like this?

I would be willing to help with testing if needed. I have a good enough connection, and more than enough computer resources for hosting a small server that could be used for testing.

Please tell me this isn't on the live server???
Also, like FWIW, I've offered resources to run tests, to run servers to do whatever the fuck you want many times before...

The amount of errors in console is actually ridiculous. Seth gave fionn a copy of all the plugins on the server for an admin training server and there are a crap ton of errors like that. Had to update all the plugins I could, there was a memory leak in there somewhere.

Hopefully Seth starts to implement the changes discussed in the development reform fairly quickly, I can't imagine it's doing any favors for server performance.

I only updated the plugins on the training server because something was eating all the memory. Not sure what it was though. The server does "work" but there are a crap ton errors all the time in console

Giving "a copy of all the plugins on the server", "a crap ton of errors like that", manually updating those plugins, "memory leak in there somewhere." At this point, are you guys just throwing jar files into zip files, tossing them around to people, and hoping the shit sticks? This is like a monkey operation.

ok cool I didn't know there was a team name limit, easy fix. we have a beta server where we can start testing things. it's not the end of the world. I'll fix this bug and upload a hot fix.

I do not know exactly how expensive compute time wise throwing an error is, but it is definitely not completely insignificant when you consider all the information it dumps to console and the logs. If nothing else, it will definitely cause increased file I/O. An occasional error won't have noticable impact, but when they get spammed the ms of delay add up quick. ok cool I didn't know there was a team name limit, easy fix. we have a beta server where we can start testing things. it's not the end of the world. Not to mention that worst case scenario that thread can be locked until it's reached the error state and thrown the error... It might only be a few hundred ms but that adds up if it's doing it regularly.
