The Ryzen 9 3900X is terrible to buy for future proofing, you can spend half the money you'd spend on that buying a Core i7 and it would be way better. The GPU is even worse because NVIDIA has top mathematicians constantly optimizing their drivers and cards and really AMD has no business competing with the amount of innovation that they put into their cards, you can spend again, half the amount of money you'd spend on a mediocre RX on something like a GTX 1060 Ti which would yield amazing performance.

First off, if you're using PCPartPicker it would be better if you posted the link to the build rather than two pictures.
Also, if you wish to stick with your case decision, you may only use a mini ITX motherboard. Speaking of the motherboard, B550 motherboards are releasing in 9 days and getting one would allow you easier access to Zen 3 once it comes out later this year. If you are just using this PC to game, it would be best to cut the CPU cost by getting a Ryzen 7 3600X, or even as low as a Ryzen 3 3300X. With the money saved by doing this, you can easily aim for an RX 5700 XT or RTX 2060 Super.

A Core i7 is half the price of the CPU he chose and would allow him to buy a really nice GTX.

Your current motherboard wont fit in the case you've picked, but besides that looks pretty sold.

So after posting this I went through with my brother as well where he also noticed my part issues and also said a ryzen 9 isn't worth it ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/f9YkrV is an updated list. There are warnings at the bottom, are they fixable or will I need to swap my motherboard?

There are warnings at the bottom, are they fixable or will I need to swap my motherboard? According to the notes at the bottom, you will need to check your motherboard choice for a "RYZEN 3000 DESKTOP READY" badge, or it will not work right away due to the BIOS version. Plus, the motherboard does not have the proper headers to support the full extent of your case's front USB panels. Also, as I've mentioned before, you can even go a step lower to a Ryzen 5 CPU and suffer little to no performance loss while saving money. My last piece of advice that I would like to offer based on this current build is to go for 16GB of ram. 8GB is cutting it too close, especially if you want to hold onto your system for a while.

In terms of the ram I already have 8GB brand new from a friend. In terms of cpu which ryzen 5 would be the best if I were to get one

Also, with the money you save from doing that, try to aim for a 2060 Super or 5700 XT for the GPU.

Also does the usb-c port not being used matter that much? ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/xNhbHB is the updated list, how does that look?

TheHour are you going with a matx board because of availability? Because I can understand that part I got the ASRock b450 m pro board cause everything else was pretty much sold out and the atx WiFi board that was a perfect price that I was going to buy the next day after going to bed sold out.
Edit: I just saw your thing about getting the free ram. If possible, upgrade to 8x2 in the future. Don’t double up and get the same 2x4 ram for the other two slots as that will eat your power.

With your budget and the fact that you are going with an atx case and a micro atx motherboard (although I did this I would have not if I had more of a budget) I highly consider switching to a atx board. It’s not like you will lose your pc but it’s just future proofing a lot of things and allows for more upgrades. Also just for reference I used the ASRock b450m pro 4 matx motherboard and it is very good and about the same price if not lower if you’re looking for an alternative. I like the bios and it allowed me to change my ram to its actual base speed with a click of a button. Edit: I just saw your thing about getting the free ram. If possible, upgrade to 8x2 in the future. Don’t double up and get the same 2x4 ram for the other two slots as that will eat your power. My only issue with this motherboard is it's only got room for 2 slots ( I could be wrong but thats what it looks like) and I'd like the 4 slots. In the future I am planning for 8x2 however I find this to be the best option at this time Thanks Edit: just realized that I didn't answer your question oops Mostly availability and price

I really recommend before you purchase these items check the specs and make sure you’re buying what you want / need.
