Hey guys, So I'm leading graduation for our school on Minecraft. I have a few questions though: Do you think that 100Mbps internet is enough for 130 players max? I've optimized the server on Paper and Tuinity (paper.yml and tuinity.yml) We're building the school on a superflat world, so there aren't gonna be any mobs / too many entities I don't think. We have a fair bit of plugins but I'm not too worried about low TPS. Do you have any advice for dealing with over 100 players on a server? I also am looking for a Chairs plugin that I can add custom blocks to also. I used ChairsReloaded from here dev.bukkit.org/projects/chairsreloaded but it keeps kicking me off the chairs after a few seconds Do you also know how I could have cams that people could see? I wanna be able to have a cam that shows certain angles (preferrably from a URL) so that people who don't have Minecraft can view it from that. Also, does anyone know of a good auth plugin so that people can't join as admins (we're running in offline mode for people who don't have the game). I only want to protect staff accounts, a normal player doesn't have to set a password bc thats useless.

For the plugin, you could probably quickly write your own in 5 minutes which reads from a file, checks username upon player logging in, and requires them to set a code if the name is in that list. Doesn't need to be too advanced, you can do exactly what you want in 5 minutes of work, assuming you don't find a plugin which exists for it already.
For the server, there are more factors than player count, like worlds and plugins of course, and all of those factors can affect performance easily. I don't like the scalability of Minecraft server software because the only "good" ways for them to be as fast with more players, worlds, plugins is to either throw server and internet power at it, or use multiple daemons. In your case, 100Mbps would work for whatever you're doing, but I'm not sure how optimal the stability would be.

Take a look at this plugin: www.spigotmc.org/resources/slimeworldmanager.69974/It is based on optimizations used by Hypixel. Assuming that the world doesn't change, it can be loaded into memory entirely instead of being read from disk, and all code related to handling block changes and chunk generation can be disabled. I made a Reddit post when I tried it out in the past: https://www.reddit.com/r/admincraft/comments/d12ltz/how_do_large_servers_maintain_performance_with/f0ewkze/ The bandwidth should be fine as long as you're not running mods.
