Vouch. Not all perm bannable offences are of the same severity.
Example, it does not seem fair to me to give someone who logs in as two admins the same punishment as someone who constantly crashes the server and ddoses people. (Although apparently the server is premium now and thus no more cracked clients?)
Instead of permbanning everyone who does something worth more than a gtfo, their punishment should properly correlate to the severity of their offence, with the punishments being decided on a case by case basis.

I don’t think I quite understand this, if you are basicly saying to have different lengths of bans we can already do that with tempbans This simplifies the system. Let's say you want to temporarily ban somebody for 5 hours, you can do that the same way you already can, or if you want to do a regular ban then you'd just do it the same exact way and it would put the person in the ban list for a single day. The entry in the ban list would be automatically cleared after a day. Now let's say you want somebody to be banned for longer than that, you post a ban request with a range of timeframes in which you think it would be acceptable for the person to be banned for (1 month to 2 months, 1 week to 2 weeks, 5 days to 6 days, 10 months to 12 months, etc.) They would be automatically unbanned by the system after the timeframe which gets chosen, the maximum time being 1 year.

Vouch, there should also be a public thread which details what timeframe of ban a person gets for breaking certain rules - maybe it could be implemented alongside the rewritten conduct policy, if that’s still happening.

Vouch. This seems a lot better than perm banned for a month then appealing.

This is approved with overwhelming support, there is still some minor details to work out, but the core premise will be enacted within in the next couple of days.
