Off the back of the thread I was seeing earlier, and some of the messages I've seen on how IA and other admins have been acting, I would like there to be a published and maintained list of those who have any additional levels of access to the forums over that of a normal member. This should include those with access to any part of the admin panel such as for themes, logs, banning / moderation.
Historically this has been easy to identify based on the 'Administrator' or 'Administrators' groups, but with the ways the server is changing, people are now being managed, this is less clear, and personally I would like to know who has access to snoop on what I or other people do on here...
Not fussed on where it's maintained, as long as it is public and visible for anyone using the forums.

Maybe this would be a job for Finest?

Vouch. Some people even to this day have forum perms that aren't listed, nor do they have any proper reason to have.
Forum admin and mod isn't something to just be given randomly. It needs to be logged, given that its come to light that people have been given it for seemingly no reason (take Lemon for example)

As of right now the only people with any forum admin access are those int he group. No other permission groups have any special power except for Zevente. Amd those permissions arent even forum admin like someone else said. These are the permissions for the hidden Assistant Admin Officer role: seth.doesnt-have-a.life/nmgs6ia.pngThese are the permissions for the hidden IA role: seth.doesnt-have-a.life/iqdfumv.pngThese roles are now publicly viewable in case you don't believe me for some reason. No one ever had hidden full forum admin. That was a rumor started by someone who didn't know fully. And if there was hidden forum admin access it wasn't started by me because I object to shit like that.

Wouldn't it make sense for only the forum moderator/administrator groups to have access to "Ban Member"?

Maybe that's not worded very well, I think my point is instead of me needing to trawl through every member to see which groups they are in, we should be publishing it in a format that's obvious. Forum Administrators are easy normally because their title is Red and it's clear, it's people who fall into the IA Role that concerns me more because that won't always be apparent, and given they have that additional access, I just think we should be able to see that without needing to go through everyone and find out. If you know of a way in Proboards to view members of a group then that's cool, but I don't think you can and if you could I'm fairly sure it only would display the individuals based on display group.

That's great, I can't see who are in the section mod's as you said, but is that a group that can be manually edited or is it tied to the board mods?

Yes but the only person who would be on this list is Zenante and that doesn't even count because it's not even full forum admin just what is in the screenshots. So it would be pointless. It's manually edited but the only ones that should there are board mods. I'll check the list and make sure.

To add onto Seth, the Section Moderator group does not actually give you any permissions unless you are also in the moderator list of a board, so there is little danger in having too many people in that group.

I think the key point on your first comment is that should always be the case, but may not be. Also I would imagine that forum administrators are also say senior admins and may choose to display as a senior admin rather than an administrator, don't see why people would but they could. It's also not 'Forum Admin' perms that concern me, just anything beyond that of what I or the common person here would have. I think it's fair that everyone knows how their data is being accessed / used. That would make sense as well, I just wanted to check what the case was with that.

I must admit I've not used Proboard perms for some time, but are those just moderation permissions, or any permissions that could be assigned? I presume you could assign additional permissions to that group which are global?
