-r (title too long)
We should make it so that if an event announcement is posted for a specific, link-based game such as skribbl.io, it gets posted in-game.
This means that we can bring the player interaction in more with events. This can be like an in-game cmd like /events enable and it would say 'now subscribed to events'
I'd like to see what @w1z thinks of this as he is the Server Liaison.

Vouch
This is an easy way to get more players in the community involved with events and to increase the amount of players attending events.

I agree, my understanding that one of the main reasons Seth wanted to take over the "Ownership" of the TF Discord was because he owned the server. Would therefore make sense to give all players the same opportunity to participate in community games that are organized in Discord. I'd also suggest they should be posted on here as well, given it should be one TF Community and not fragments dotted around with people getting different access based on where they feel comfortable being.

the difference is that the events that usually partake in the events area requires people to be in the vc so the people would need to be in the discord anyways and i don't really see the point in this as such. object

Same for the forums, there are likely people who don't check Discord / mute it so announcing it on all the platforms would get more people involved and inclusive.

I would vouch if it said “an event is happening in the discord feel free to join us” however the suggestion itself talked about posting the exact link which could ruin some events

If you can't run events that are independent of the platforms you probably shouldn't be running them anyway... Just putting that out there. Either way my point stands, this is 1 community, not 3. If we're going to go back to 3 communities then feel free to give me my Discord back

Clearly can't take a joke but that's cool, we'll gloss over that. It absolutely is wrong to host an event for a sub-set of the community, it excludes those who want to partake but either were not aware of it, or who may not be able to have a discord account. What you're suggesting is we treat the Discord totally separate to the server (Thus my comment about 'my' discord server, as the reason Seth wanted to take it over was because he felt it should be more integrated with the server, that was the line I got anyway) - All you're doing is creating a discord community that is isolated from the forums that is isolated from the game server it's self... Which just ends up being counter-productive as you never gain a real community at all. It's not about if it's boring, and frankly if it is, then you should do a better job at finding things that the whole community can be involved in, and not just a subset of it, no matter how large that subset may be. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are not in the Discord who either don't know it's a thing, isn't allowed to have an account, or just mute it like with most servers. I think you're missing the point because you don't want to get the point right now... It's not hard to understand that creating 3 isolated communities is counter-productive, and if you're hosting events it should be advertised everywhere, even if there then is a requirement that people have a discord account (Which for the record I disagree with), but at least then people have a fair chance to know it's going on. I for one had no idea these events even happened because I'm only active on the forums, does that mean I wouldn't want to know about them or potentially join in? I'm also the type of person who server mutes most of the discord's I'm in, so I wouldn't have been notified even if I was in the Discord still...

I vouch, this is a pretty obvious way of engaging with the community and bringing it closer together.
Also some notes:
1. If the Server Liaison/Advertisement Manager doesn't coordinate these events to some extent, then who does? It seems like events just "randomly" happen. Perhaps we should expand the scope of "Server Liaison" to some sort of community management position to manage these events, rather than it all just being random?
2. I don't understand people rationalizing the Discord being a totally separate community from the forum and server. If it's an official TF platform, owned by Seth, it should certainly be tied in to the rest of the platforms and community events should be integrated with the whole community.
