This last week flatlands has been wiped too frequently, in the last 3 days it's been wiped everyday and it's getting annoying as you build something halfway, go off for a bit and come back to find that it's gone.
Not everyone knows how to save schematics and as I said before you may work on something then come back to find that its disappeared. Seniors are wiping the flatlands too much and because so many OPs just lost their builds this morning, more than half aren't even on (there's three).
Can we have a 3-4 day limit on flatlands wipes? Things that would be excluded from this limit would be lag machines/crash chunks etc that can't be removed by a player.

If you build in plot world you will not have to worry about frequent resets.

If you build in plot world you will not have to worry about frequent resets. I understand that but sometimes there's builds with a lot of players helping out, sometimes there's massive builds that don't fit in plotworld.

The worlds were all originally designed to be pretty much disposable... I'd generally make the assumption that as soon as you log off if you haven't saved your build it might not be there when you return. Just my view on it, especially if you've now got worlds that have 'permanent' maps.

Back in the day we used to do map resets daily, with warnings about it. I remember loading maps from clanforge, like "miwo-flatworld" and "YogOlympics".

Isn't the point of the master builder world so that we can have maps like those to put in for players? There should be a "main" spawn world with our master builder's works.

I think the actual suggestion here is: Let people know when the flatlands is going to be wiped, like how JJ_Jaguar said back in the day. It's how I used to do it every time I had to wipe the flatlands and even the regular world at times.

Yeah, I think we used to give people a 10min warning to give everyone a chance to save their builds and if users really struggled admins could go help them.

I vouch for changing the command to when you run /wipeflatlands it says Please give a 10 minute courtesy before wiping it and then make it actually wipe on /wipeflatlands confirm Just as a reminder? Maybe we don't even need to change it up, just have admins know to give a courtesy. Or we could put it on a countdown when the command is triggered, but I don't think we need that.

Even better: Incorporate it into our deployment system, with one-click of a button on a web panel it can trigger off an automatic system in our plugin which prepares everybody for a map wipe in 10 minutes, provides instructions on build saving, then after 10 minutes cleanly disassembles the server daemon, and then the system refreshes the map and kicks everything back up.

I believe this was actually a thing on the CJFreedom panel, although it's not being maintained anymore.
