All the posts just got deleted on the policy thread. Firstly, I want to know why? Secondly, as a community we need to vote on the policy. As I said before, anyone could take the power with Seth's passwords, the people that know Seth's sister could be gone in the event of his death, any executives who would hold these powers could have left too. This could take place at any time, it could happen right now or it could happen in a few years, or it may never even happen. The fault with the policy is anything could happen and things could change at that time too. What do we do about that?

Good to see that we're back to censoring discussion!
Normally, when a thread receives 3 pages of criticism, you don't delete all of the "mean posts" and utterly silence all of the conversation and remove every trace of it. Numerous arguments were brought up from a bunch of people primarily in defense of restoring the original ownership policy which was voted into place by the vast majority of people in this community, and yet for some reason we're back to the dictatorial approach of just saying "fuck it" and cancelling it instead of actually recognizing what the people in this community want.

@creeperseth I like you, but jesus christ have you learned nothing in this past year and a half of being owner? You don't create a controversy by just randomly adding something which is inferior to something you yourself removed, and then just delete everything as if that makes it go away. You reopened this can of worms, and simply removing the thread just makes you look 100x worse than if you left it up and allowed the conversation to take place.
This is far from the first time this has happened and I'm honestly just taken aback anyone still thinks this is even remotely a decent way of dealing with a topic.

Im with Polaris and Wilee. I personally don't think that we should just add this policy. Can't we just have the other policy back if other people found it more resourceful?

I think Seth went severely against it, iirc he said 'i'm not going anywhere' Anything could also happen to Seth's sister too before Seth, which means that we have nowhere to run TF from.

The biggest problem I have noticed in the variety of threads on this subject is that Seth does not seem to understand the fact that the policy isn't there to remove him from power for shits and giggles. It's more there for someone else to take the wheel if the owner literally disappears. It is basically a disaster recovery plan. We need to get past this whole "I am not gonna disappear" shit because there are numerous (unlikely) circumstances in which you could suddenly disappear.
The point is, the community voted for you in place because they trusted you. You are in place as a result of a policy you have removed, I hate to use this word but that is corrupt. You could literally jeapordize the future of this server if you go and we don't have a fully-laid out plan.
And finally, the ownership policy was literally designed so that we can recover from the owner ghosting, nothing to do with us contacting other family members, because that isn't the point. It's not about trying to find out where you are (I mean, in the situation with Windows we didn't).

I don’t understand the difficulty of keeping a simple policy. If you don’t plan on ghosting the server, then this policy shouldn’t bother you. Simply deleting or locking stuff without even discussing anything isn’t going to help your case. It honestly makes you look like a dick (not saying you are one because I barely know you).

I like how someone can't tolerate me closing this at 40 votes and then proceeds to remove the small message at the bottom of this thread

Is it about the future of TF? I was chilling in UMC's discord simply talking and you were bringing up drama there for no reason when you could've at least dm'd me instead of dragging this onto another server... Even though I could find out what's up myself on the forums. Also the "seth friend group" shit is getting old. Are you going to call someone a seth friend every time they disagree with you over policy? Both of these things are overly dramatic in my opinion. And yes, I said "in my opinion."
