Honestly the new Edge (based off of Chromium) uses the least amount of RAM imo and it brought everything over from chrome. i now use edge as my daily browser Brought everything horrible about Chrome over to an even worse browser? No thanks, Firefox Quantum is way better. Firefox consistently ate the most amount of RAM for me

I was comparing it on Google with nothing else open. I tried a few websites (such as my own, Reddit, YouTube, Videos), and Firefox consistently used the most RAM. I only have two extensions (on both) Adblock and an extension that changes the new tab page to google instead of the garbage homepage that the browsers try and make me use. really, the browser i've had the least issues with is Safari, however the AdBlock on that is garbage. But Safari loads everything fine and uses wayyy less battery and RAM. safari is really only good if you update your computer, since it's built in to the system. i don't like that, but there are not that many updates being issued so its not a big deal for me

Brave is quiet a good browser. You can get money simply for ads. It has a built in adblocker, and if you wish to turn on ads that pop up in the notification centre (windows), then you can get money for it. The ads aren't like website ads, but verified ads. It has built in Tor, may use quiet a bit of RAM but a very good browser in my opinion.
