i always manually remove internet explorer on my windows installs Nah never remove it. Keep it for that dark day when everything else fucks up. You don't want to be trying to use powershell to pull down Chrome / something in the future. Plus it doesn't exactly take up any space, no harm as a backup browser.

To add to this, some applications may depend on components that are part of it. Removing it is an unnecessary risk. Fortunately, stuff like CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) seem to be gradually reducing this.

i always manually remove internet explorer on my windows installs windows will get a BSOD if you do that because chakra.dll
