/near is broken anyways and it's used mainly for the cheeky ops to go "Oooh this admin is in vanish!!!!!!". Then after you warn them they complain.

tbh vanish is like useless now because anyone can already find out vanished admins, and for me vanish admins alwaye come up even when im not using hax. i mean vanished admins can even be pmed and pinged in game We can still fix that. /vanish has been here for a long time and the problems with it are visible, so we can just fix that.

Vouch.
Someone managed to fuck it up to the point near doesn't work for admins at all but it does for ops. You had one job, and you managed to fuck it up.

Vouch
This command is pretty useful for finding disguised players without undisguising everyone.

Bump. I'd like to see more input on this as it's anchoring down to the bottom of the list.

Vouch.
This post isn't quite getting the attention it deserves.
We not trying to powerpost or anything, but probably is a good idea now to go up and fix everything that breaks vanish (/near, tf!list, & whatever that is used)

On behalf of InnocentMango:
/msg (admin name) (text)
Reveals admin in vanish if the message is sent through.

What's the difference between /vanish and spectator mode? Vanish means your name doesn't show up at all. GMSP shows your name but it's translucent. also about the /msg thing, it also makes the admin show up in TAB, and if u msg that admin when they leave the char is still there

We shouldn't be hiding the fact we have admins online, if it looks like there are admins on the server people will feel they can raise an issue or know they could be being watched. Having admins clearly in spectator mode is almost the bigger deterrent because players know an admins is there and might be watching them... Just my thought... Sounds like we're basically duplicating functionality for limited real benefits?

Sometimes vanishing is beneficial for certain rulebreakers that only really reveal themselves when they think admins aren't on (it sends a false leave message). It's not something I like to use for extended periods of time, I mainly use gmsp for that, but it is useful situationally.

I'm not saying this is the right thing to do, I'm just saying I think it makes more sense for the handful of times it might be beneficial, I don't think those benefits so far sound like they are that meaningful...
