For those of you that love Mechatronics, here's a post for you. I ordered a DC Motor kit which arrived yesterday. Today, I made a small car with the things it had. The car travels at around 1m per 2 seconds. Depending on the height of the path, the speed changes. The project took me around 10 minutes and I'm happy with the results. It consists of a 9V Battery with a DC Motor and a Banana Fan Blade. The wires used are crocodile clips with one end exposed, I cut them to size so that the wires would not pull the car back. The wheels are pushed onto a metal rod which has a black cover. This black cover makes it so that the battery does not stop the actual rods from spinning. Everything that needs to get stuck to the battery is stuck with blue tack. The kit can be bought here (UK). It will have everything you need except for things like blue tack and hot glue. The whole car travels at 1m/2 seconds which is a good speed for a small car like this. I'm not gonna post much projects like this however let me know if you want to be in the tag list.
