Why have all the useless lights that don't add to the quality of the product? At the end of the day, it's still plastic manufactured in some slave market which will break in a few months. A recommended investment is an old IBM Model M from the 80s which still works better than any keyboard currently on the market, hell even an IBM mouse from then works well. Because people can buy things they like but don't strictly need? Do you only drink tap water and eat dry crackers? If we're going by the food analogies, a keyboard like an IBM Model M vs. any of the cheap RGB LED keyboards on the market is like a mean grilled steak versus a box of jujubes. Why wouldn't you take the thing that works over the plastic crappy gimmick with no craftsmanship?

It's not plastic, it's a metal keyboard. Switches rated for 100+ million clicks, faster than all switches in the market and it's not really cheap (especially here, got it for 214 dollar bc tax). It's not necessarily better than the IBM but it's good enough that I'd take it

Also just a minute ago you were claiming it's cheap shit. When that got disproven, you're calling it overpriced shit. Why are you set on hating keyboards other than the IBM?

When that got disproven, you're calling it overpriced shit. Why are you set on hating keyboards other than the IBM? I was making a generalized statement in which every point didn't necessarily apply to every product ever made, my points have been directed towards these products in general, however I certainly think there is less craftsmanship in this than an old IBM keyboard. What I'm saying is that in terms of craftsmanship and manufacturing it's cheap junk, yet they bump up the price of these particular keyboards because of the demand that people have to have the "holy elite Razer RGB keyboard and mouse". I don't only like the IBM Model M, I just think it's the finest example of a keyboard with craftsmanship. Other IBM keyboards and mice are great as well, as well as peripherals from that era that weren't IBM.

Some consumers prefer to have lights on their keyboards so that they can see what keys they are pressing in the dark. It's also a matter of availability; many consumers would prefer to just pick up a more modern mechanical keyboard from their local computer store for a cheap price rather than have to scour the lands of Amazon and eBay to find a decently-priced Model M and then wait several weeks for shipping.
Just to note: not all modern mechanical keyboards are hot garbage. I've been using the same mechanical keyboard from Razer since December 2017 and it's been doing the task I got for in the first place just fine.
Nice setup. Looks aesthetically pleasing.

sounds like a personal problem nailcare Yeah nailcare because i'd love to have 2 key rollover on a keyboard designed for typing when i want a keyboard with no ghosting or the ability to hold down more than two keys at a time for gaming? i really doubt you've ever actually had a high end keyboard (yes these DO exist, search literally any £100+ corsair or any good company keyboard) or a niche keyboard like a ducky other than a model m and the fact that you're comparing that to actual full metal builds on durability is quite fasinating. again, lights. are. for. looks. and most high end durable keyboards have rgb anyways (not including the fact that in darker areas it's much easier to see keys). the point that you made of it blinding your eyes is kind of dumb anyways, you do realise that all keyboards with rgb has some sort of controller that can turn down the lights and even turn them off? and if we're talking about looks, the model m fits rarely into any builds that you want to look nice apart from retro ((which is difficult to get)). but yeah, i suppose people making their own keyboards with rgb has NO craftmanship and that intel > amd, model ms > any other keyboard
