howdy guys!
lately me and the master builders have been conflicted on a recent issue. we'd love to showcase our builds on more than just an "art gallery" such as masterbuilder world, considering most people hardly ever go to look at it - mostly because it isn't interactive and there isn't much to do.
but with the help of the master builders, i would love to create either a permanent hub or a permanent flatlands spawn. id love to make it interesting and interactive with the help of my redstoners, and with secret easter eggs that would overall make entering the server much more enjoyable.
but if a brand new spawn or hub isn't appealing to you, would you all like to vote in an existing spawn that we have to keep forever? if so, i would make another thread and another poll on that later on.
i would appreciate it if you left your vote in this poll for now. thank you for your cooperation! ??

A hub would be good, just make sure it isn't too taxing on lower end PCs (i.e. don't have too many particles, etc).

Rules are rules, set for the better of society. Breaking them taints society with chaos.

I'll mention that the fact that we don't have a set spawn lets operators try to make their own versions, and seeing those versions set as spawns, even if it is for a little time, brings a bit of a charm. Everyone likes seeing that their build is being used "officially", for a lack of a better term.
However, I do like this idea. Adding interactive components into a permanent spawn would make things a lot more entertaining. Maybe we could implement little minigames as well. We should keep in mind that easter eggs which are hidden cosmetics can get old quite fast, since once someone discovers it, they will probably tell others about it, and with a bit of time the easter egg wouldn't be such a secret anymore.
A hub would be able to use both the custom spawns and an interactive map.
I would like to know others' opinion about the original suggestion.

Create a hub but with a catch: WorldEdit and any other world-modifying commands or features are disabled to everyone in the hub.

If you are saying that ops wont be able to make spawns on the flatlands anymore that is false. A hub will be used to either warp to flatlands, smp, or plotworld. The flatlands spawn will still be made by operators.

I like the idea of a hub. Having a central place before you spawn into the maps would be a great idea. Perhaps this build could even be growing as time goes? The MBs will have a project that they're always able to work on.
I do not like the idea of it completely replacing flatlands spawn as many ops love making spawns & take great pride in having it set as such

Smp, Flatlands, Plotworld, etc. On the flatlands Ops will still be able to build spawns.

Create a hub but with a catch: WorldEdit and any other world-modifying commands or features are disabled to everyone in the hub. most likely if a hub were to be created, ops would be set into adventure mode with fly to prevent most griefing, as well as blocking worldedit commands or other terrain-editing commands. hopefully worldguard would also act as a backup protection if someone were to bypass these modifications and attempt to grief.

having a hub sets a good impression about the server to a new op once they join. joining to a griefed mess isn't, however. have a hub which can teach rules, commands, what to do and parkour areas and which leads to a flatlands spawn made by someone else.

If the Master Builders want to start building a hub, I'll re-enable the hub world. It'll have a global region in it to prevent it from being edited by non-mbs.

I love the idea. I could make some parkour if needed (finally something I don’t suck at).
