Hello!
1). Staff point system.
To lessen the gap between the lower ranks and higher ranks we’re changing how much impact your individual vote makes in applications.
Points:
Neutral - 0 points
Operators, Trial Moderators, Moderators - 1/-1 point
Administrators - 2/-2 points
Approval Rate:
Operator -> Moderator = 66% approval rate
Moderator -> Administrator = 80% approval rate
Points will be added up and percentage will be rounded to the nearest whole number. If you reach the approval rate for each rank required you will be approved.
2.) Other changes:
Voting rights:
I. All members of Total Freedom will be able to vote in applications. This includes operators. To vote you need a forum account of 2 months or older.
II. In applications you are now required to explain your vote, whether vouch or object. Neutrals do not require an explanation.
Administrator, is meant to be a prestigious role. It should be difficult to be promoted. Due to this belief we're increasing the qualifications needed and adding a time requirement.
Moderator requirements:
I. Must have a 2 month old forum account.
II. Must have a recommendation from an active Moderator+.
Administrator requirements:
I. Must have a minimum of 10 months active participation from your Moderator application acceptance date.
II. Must have minimum 3 recommendations from an active Administrator+
If you do not meet the requirements you will be instantly denied. You can reapply in 15 days, if you meet the requirements.
If you are denied for not being deemed qualified you can apply again in 30 days.
Being active is defined as participating on the forums, in-game, or on the discord.
Your recommendation may be counted invalid if you do not meet the 3 hour activity requirement within the week.
You may be removed if you do not meet the monthly 6 hour activity requirement.
3.) We are streamlining the process of applications, promotions, and reinstatement.
I. All applications will be open for 2 weeks or when votes appear to stop. Votes will be counted up at the end of that time period. If you meet the approval rate you will be immediately added.
1. If an application has overwhelming support, it may be accepted it just a couple of days.
II. Reinstatement's will now have to reapply. The community is allowed to vote on all reinstatement's. Reinstatement's no longer guarantee you your original rank. If your application is approved, you will start at Moderator. If you were removed in the past 6 months for inactivity, you will be guaranteed your original rank but will still have to reapply and be approved.
4.) Staff quality assurance.
To ensure the quality of our upcoming Moderators, all approved Moderators will first go through a "trial period." Reinstatement's do not have to go through the trial period.
This period will last a month. During this time, you will only have access to basic administrative commands.
Moderator promotions to Administrator and reinstatement's will have an automatic 1 month probation.
During both the "trial period" and probation, your actions as a staff member will be criticized and looked at more closely. If you fail to follow the Staff Conduct Policy, you may lose your rank or have your promotion reverted.
